Rightly in the World

The warning for this age
in the ancient words of the prophet
our words alone meaningless
needing to act rightly in the world

To be the people
the children of the living God
all of our actions
to conform to the faith we profess

No harsh words,
no false scales
climbing over our neighbor
turning from the way of Christ

A reverse of directions
away from the world
Following the commands
walking in the love of our savior
showing the world
we belong to Christ.
