No longer a slave

In turning to God
acting on our faith
our belief in the risen Lord
grace upon grace

No longer a slave
in the world
a servant of God
by our own choosing
the prisoners freed of servitude

Free to take on the yoke of our brother
serving in the fields of the kingdom
tending the garden
planting, feeding,
weeding in our time

For that bright future,
planting, tending
sowing your seeds of love
for that bright future
when the reaper comes.
