The psalmist right
in reminding us
over and over
the mighty acts of God
saving us from ourselves
Our sinful nature leading
our lives away from God
falling in each season
falling back in the pit
Each time we cry out
Oh, God, please save me
I have forgotten your commands
and have strayed
like a lost sheep
save me from myself
bring me back to you
Let us give thanks to
the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds
in our lives.
