pray for our enemies

God loves them
those we call enemies
those who would harm us
who turn from him
we too should love them
if we are to be his children
ask him in prayer
for help in loving them
a doubling of blessings
in God’s perfect love poured out
offering healing, forgiveness
helping us to love
