only a
taste
knowing
milk only
pablum in
my youth
but never
solid food
living in
the world
away from
my faith
unfed for
so long
not knowing
the bible
now gorging
on the banquet
God’s holy
Word
hungry for
the food
the meat of
substance
learning
more the path
that leads
us to heaven
drinking of
the water
the bread
the leads to life
