Woe to any one of us
coming before the judgment seat
the book of our life open
the pages written in Christ’s blood
his sacrifice, the choices we made
in the ink of the Son
Before God with our barns overflowing
investments, treasures of the earth
balance sheets brimming
while our brothers, our sisters
our neighbors, around the earth
crying out in pain, hungry
No food for them tonight
dying in the streets, our barns full
overflowing, abundance
a land of milk and honey
greed, avarice, hate
denying God, the source
of all we see and have
