The rich man’s choice
focused on world
on himself, his pleasure
beyond his wildest needs
a harvest of plenty
from the great creator
the sustainer, the king
the Father almighty
but no claim of provision
no shouts of praise
believing himself
the source of his wealth
The rich man’s choice
more barns, amassing a fortune
nothing of value
when God called him home

Luke 12:15
“And he said unto them, Take heed,
and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth
not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
