like other laws, for protection, for safety
do’s and don’ts, how to live with other people
the Commandments, the laws
the precepts of our Creator
showing us how to love
how to love our neighbors
More than the rule of law
the spirit deep within
how to gently guide
to see us as friends
not to brutalize
to repress our expression
words to guide us
to offer us relation
