Not seeing as God sees
not through eyes of faithful
only thinking about his own desires
not of others needs
Seeing only abundance
as if he caused the excess
hoarding all of his plunder
giving no one the rest
The rich man a fool
thinking only of now
how could he save the crop
the bounty, the largesse of God
not focused on what could happen
being called to the throne
to account for himself
red marks in the book of life
