wiser than human wisdom – v2

God’s foolishness
compassion, his love, agape
foolishness in the eyes of man
beyond our mortal vision
wiser than human wisdom
our sight so limited
failing to follow the commands
the righteous law of God

needing the foolishness
the sacrificial love of God
the coming of our Savior
God’s Love washing down
The Spirit come to the earth
to share God’s righteousness
the Shepherd become a Lamb
giving his life for us

God’s foolishness, unmerited
a gift of God’s heart
offering the Son for us
we must do our part
Accepting the gift of grace
the sacrifice of Christ
turning to him in righteousness
praise to our God above
