A stumbling block to Jews

The truth of the Christ
an uncomfortable truth
something they won’t discern
to change their very world

A stumbling block to the Jews
the elite, those in power
a servant-king, Messiah
born to die for us

The One, sacred sacrifice
the High Priest intercessor
teaching us, if we will listen
turning the world to right

A stumbling block to Jews
not the Messiah they have pictured
come to set the captives free
by love, a servant kingdom
