The lament of an ungrateful nation
a freed people yet crying out
what must God have felt in heaven
the Passover still fresh in his memory
his freeing of his people
freed from oppression
saved from his wrath
yet moaning in the desert
“why did you bring us out of Egypt”
they cried to the heavens
doubting God’s provision
right from the beginning
