deeply grieved,
even unto death
Christ wracked with pain
in the garden that night
the weight of the betrayal
the coming of the next day
grieving for himself
for the disciples, for His
people
for the drumbeat of
history
the weight of this evening
the decision He faced
praying in the garden
that night at Gethsemane.
