God did not look away
at the journey of Jesus
from Galilee to Jerusalem
from the mountaintop
to the valley
God did not look away
at Christ’s journey in the
city
from parade on Sunday
to the shouts to crucify
the living Son of God
God did not look away
in those last 24 hours
God was there with Christ
in the final earthly
journey
from the upper room to the
tomb
God was there
in the garden
before the Sanhedrin
with the guards
and at the cross.
God watched
Christ’s suffering
the judgment laid upon Him
our sins placed upon
the unblemished lamb
God was with Jesus
from the garden to the
tomb
God did not look away
God watched His Son
paid the price for Man.
