“Thy will be done,”
these words of Jesus
choosing to become
the lamb, the sacrifice
submitting His will
to the plan of the Father
to the will of God.
Giving His life over
kneeling at that altar
the stone in the garden
holding nothing back
become the Lamb
drinking of the cup.
Christ, the Messiah,
emptying himself
becoming the vessel
drinking of the cup
the sacrifice, atoning,
healing the breach for
His people, sheep of His flock.
