walking toward the garden
along the Kidron Valley
the Temple to their left
journeying from the upper
room
from the words of Christ
of betrayal, of sacrifice
remembering the ancient
words
forever changed by Christ
to the right the graves of
priests,
of prophets, of kings
all waiting for the Final
Judgment
through this valley, this
road
they journeyed to the
garden, Gethsemane,
as sorrow walked with them
on that Thursday night.
