The faithful, the disciples
the followers of Christ
all together, all in one
place
waiting for the promise
God’s power from above.
The Spirit coming
like the roar of thunder
a strong wind, a fire,
shaking them, trembling,
all filled with wonder.
In tongues of fire,
the flames, the water,
the blessing they received;
speaking in words
they could not believe.
Spreading His message
the love of God given
to each living heart;
tending the garden
a harvest to come.
