upon the altar of the cross,
we hear the incredible
prayer of Jesus,
“Forgive them, Father
for they know not
what they do.”
these words for you
and for me, upon my life,
for me, oh Lord,
for I strayed.
I rebelled, I ran away
I turned from your path
sowing seeds in the world
pods for the swine
giving my life over
to the way of the flesh.
