I heard Jesus’ words
but what was he saying
I know this man
but he was claiming the
scripture
that the ancient words of
the scroll
of the prophet Isaiah
come alive, fulfilled
in this moment as we
heard it
read aloud by Jesus
our neighbor, known to us
how could this be
we were hanging on every
word
