I hear the words of others
in conversation, in
community,
the words that come to my mind,
“Do we deserve better
than the choice before us;
How did we end up
with such damaged, broken
people
to lead, to guide our nation
that we love, that we hold
dear;
Do we deserve better,
do we really, truly,
when we have been divided
as a people as a nation?”
