His Sacrifice Greater

Understanding in a small way
some of what he gave
his sacrifice greater
the consequence immense

Yet on these days
of memory of their service
a hint of the grace of God
in coming to the earth

His gift unconditional
not based on our worth
giving his all for us
that we could have new birth

Their sacrifice reminding us
of what he did for man
going the way of the cross
part of the Father’s plan
