sin is in the blood
organic, innate within us
within the flesh
our earthly bodies
Love from our mind
from God’s Spirit
from our hearts only
sin in the blood
from the clay, from the dust
yet also filled by the
Spirit
God’s power of love
sin in the blood
coursing through us
leading us away
but for God’s Spirit
