as you do to the least of these – v8

I pray you are given wisdom
compassion, the heart of God,
may you be merciful, silent
the wisdom to hear God’s voice
to do the right thing
in this time and place

The ancient words of scripture
a beacon for our feet
as you do to the least of these
so you do to Christ
all of us children, all precious
all made in the image of God

May we act as He would
consistent in our words
in our actions, loving,
messengers of paradise
worthy of the name we claim
compassionate like Christ
