The offering of the Lamb
the Son of the Creator
the Son of Man,
the unblemished lamb
becoming a sacrifice
offering His own body
on the altar of the cross
Choosing to submit
the follow the will of God
the command of the Law,
taking on all of our sin
our hands upon His head
becoming the Lamb, the sacrifice
to heal our brokenness
Going to the cross
as our sin sacrifice
the cup bitter to His taste;
The sins of the world
staining the Lamb,
stepping into the fire
to make us clean again
