Hope can change this community – v3

The Devil, Satan, may think
he has the upper hand,
that his reign will be forever,
sowing seeds of division,
of strife, within this community;
But he has forgotten Christ,
the power of the resurrection,
of salvation, God’s Spirit, alive,
beating within all of us.

How things would be different
If we would just sow seeds
of Christ’s forgiveness, of His mercy,
if we lived out our faith
without fear or reservation;
Hope can change this community
in my bones I know this,
We must tear down the walls,
the hurts, that divide us.
