Trouble Speaking

Emotion of Memory
anchored deep, written
words coming slowly
important, for them
trouble speaking, sharing

my experience that morning
feeling tears welling up
about those moments
what we witnessed
even from a distance

our world stopping
holding our breath
shock in our nation
when the towers fell
utter devastation
