That Wondrous Day

The day that God came
dressed in human flesh
walking as a man
empty of holiness

Yet He is love
alive, with us
showing us the way
through the gate of sacrifice

Submitting to God
to the Master’s plan
humbling Himself
drinking of the cup

Obediently walking
turning to Jerusalem
healing us of our brokenness
by climbing the cross

All of it there
written in the word
the promise of the Lord
born on that wondrous day
