God’s Plan Unfolding

God’s plan unfolding
in the Jordan River
Christ coming to John
to be baptized in the water

The prophecies coming to fruition
yet in preparation
the voice crying in the wilderness
and the one who was to come

God’s voice speaking
living, alive, in majesty
crying down from heaven
his love for all mankind

Christ identified
as God’s holy Son
the Spirit descending
in the form of a dove

Our lives changed forever
in the commissioning of Christ
sent to fulfill His ministry
to offer us God’s love
