The image of the cross

not seeing the picture

rather, heard in her brain

the infant, the baby

not firing visually

auditory instead

the image of the cross

speaking within her head

series of poems based on

segment on how babies,

when they are wearing a brain cap,

to do EEG measurements, don’t always

have the visual cortex light up

when they see something but sometimes

have the auditory cortex light up,

as if they are hearing the image, the colors.

at about 6:15 minutes to about 8:45  minutes
