Taste color

what if what is before us
is heard instead of seen
or what if what we see
isn’t seen but tasted

taste color, hear words
a new world within us
drinking in an image
an image transformed
not seen but heard,
or tasted

have the visual cortex light up
when they see something but sometimes
have the auditory cortex light up,
as if they are hearing the image, the colors.
