the temple, then Christ, then wait – v2

the precision of the word impossible
to comprehend, to predict
beyond the limit of mortal man
those raised from the dust
the words of prophecy perfect
the weeks, the years
exactly as they were
the temple, the Christ,
the destruction, His death
His sacrifice, our sin
then wait, a pause
an age yet unfolding
the first seven weeks completed
and the sixty two more
the last week yet to come
waiting for the moment
the rise of the anti-christ
who will claim to be the Messiah.
