Unlike the others
the telling of this night
Christ aware, ready
for the harvest
ready for the reaper
that the seed would bring new life
Only in the dying
in the journey in the ground
the rest of God’s purpose
to be revealed
not in his dying
but in the rising of the seed
that blessed morning
bursting with new life
