Like the myrrh
ancient aroma
a gift of the Magi
the perfume given
poured on his feet
Her act of giving
anointing our Savior
prepared for the Passion
this Holy Week
The journey Christ would
travel
from palms to the cross
rising from the ashes
to redeem us from the lost
