Thanking God in the Belly

In the time set apart
pulled from his life
Jonah thanking God
in the belly of the fish

There with him
sparing his life
sent for a purpose
the calling of his life

To go and serve
to be the carrion call
to save the people
the enemies of his people
faithful to God’s plan
