In the Way of a Fallen World – v2

Too often I get caught up
focused upon myself
finding my way difficult
wondering which way to turn

It is far too easy
to go with the crowd
huddle masses, tumult
leading to death

Moving in the way of a fallen world
hustling here and there
no peace within us
no peace anywhere

God offers us that peace
conformed to His path
through the valley of shadows
to the field, the waters, everywhere

journeying into the light of a bright future
walking with the Good Shepherd
leading from glory to glory
a way out of this desert

We only have to turn to Him
to repent of our sins
only to stay true to Him
submitting our will to His
