trying to remove the ink
from the milk
the dye out of the solution,
mixing,
roots sunk down deep,
within,
into the fabric, deep
meaning
pain too great to bear
trying to remove the ink
from the milk
the dye of out of the
solution, quickly,
cutting off the ties that
bind
holding us, that connect us
together
pain too great to bear
trying to remove the ink
from the milk
the dye out of the solution,
a process,
striving to remove, to
extract
the threads, the drops
remaining
pain too great to bear
trying to remove the ink out
of the milk
the dye out of the solution,
completely
a slow painful process,
itself a journey
removing, severing all ties
pain too great to bear

trying to remove the ink from the milk – v2
June 9, 2019
trying to remove the ink from the milk
imagery - not putting the toothpaste
back in the tube; but removing
a drop of ink out of a gallon of milk
or like fully removing kudzu
or the roots of dandelions from land.
