The Mother of God

A name important, with power,
recognizing her station, her standing,
in human history, in life itself,
a moment changing time forever,
the vessel, the handmaiden,
the willing child, the servant,
Mary, the Mother of God…
 
Called by the angel for a holy calling,
overshadowed by the Spirit,
the eternal entering time,
so much mystery, beyond
understanding, comprehension,
in her name, in her title,
Mary, the Mother of God…
