I am born again – v5

In the moment of my turning
when I accepted God’s gift of grace,
I was born once more, alive;
I am born again from my flesh,
from the ache, the pain,
the sins of my past.

I have been washed by the Lamb
by Christ’s living waters
I am saved by God’s Spirit only;
Christ’s blood has set me free
from the chains of sin and dead;
I go forward as a servant of God.

In the moment of my turning
when I accepted God’s gift of grace,
I was born once more, alive;
I am born again, I am made clean
I claim Christ Jesus
as my Lord and Savior.

By God’s grace alone do I live in this life
by God’s love only do I have life again;
Only by the blood of Jesus
by the sacrifice of grace
can I walk forward secure; I am free, 
no matter what comes my way.
