What secrets do these waters hold

What secrets do these waters hold,
What stories could they tell,
Are there other victims buried here,
In the murky water?
 
Wild is this place, full of black water,
Touching ancient evil, murder,
Not so long forgotten, drenched,
But hidden in plain sight.
