grain of the harvest
the heads ready for
gathering
yet some left in the fields
purposefully, an offering
to the poor, the widows,
those in our land
leaving some for them
to gather themselves
knowing, believing
all of this bounty is
from God
and that God will provide
once more, each year
all we ever need
from the hand of God
