Toxic Gumbo

I see the pain on their face
The water all over the place
It is terrible to see
I ache inside of me

Far north from their plight
I hope they all can take flight
To escape the pain they feel
And know our prayers for them are real

We know You can touch their lives
To make sense of their devastation and loss
So watch over them all we pray
And hold them close to You each day

Dear Lord, hear this plea
That they can be free
Of the loss they know so well
In that toxic gumbo of hell
