A widow’s gift,
more pleasing to God
than all the others
not to its value
but for its worth
the meaning in the way she gave
when compared to theirs
She gave out of her poverty
they from their wealthy
She gave all
they gave a proportionate share
She gave out of real faith
they gave for form, for show
