speaking to them in their words,
in stories, experiences they shared
lives close to the land, to family
to the crops and the animals,
speaking to them in a language they knew
so did our Lord preach, teach
share the story of God’s love
with those he met, walking this earth
He used, as we must, to share the message
in their words, to those willing, able
choosing to listen
