Listening to Your Voice

Not trusting in me
in my knowing
able to chart my course
to conform to your ways

Needing ever your guiding
listening to your voice
only in conforming to you
entering into your grace

In this alone am I able
to understand my path
your plan for my life wholly
in your word, oh God

Your ways unknowable
mine in the dust
only in submitting
do I have a chance to walk, humbly
and in your ways, oh Lord.

I enjoyed this poem, I dont know if you remember me, probably not but I asked you to write a poem that could guide me and my situation about being in love with someone of a different religion.

this was your poem,

Not the religion, not the name we claim proof of our humanity,
our belief in love in the way we live, in what we do
how we walk on this earthhumble, good to our neighbors
reaching out to those in need
no label, no denomination
nothing to set us apartpart of our family
the whole human race
offered grace by the creatorin relationship
we all find our place

I take this poem to heart and it always makes me feel the warmth of Gods love for us all.

and I wanted to thank you for the peice of literature as I will hold on to it always and never forget it.

This is the poem as I wrote it:

Not the Religion

not the religion, not the name we claim
proof of our humanity, our belief in love
in the way we life, in what we do
how we walk on this earth
humble, good to our neighbors
reaching out to those in need
no label, no denomination
nothing to set us apart
part of our family
the whole human race
offered grace by the creator
in relationship
we all find our place
