Rich Men in the Bible

We in this society
like the rich men in the bible
slow to turn from the world
to be guided by God’s love

We are called
to submit to His will
to turn from the world
and follow Him instead

Easy to submit
when we are impoverished
much harder when our stomachs are full
to walk away from our wealth
