On Watch

On Watch this night
at the turning of the year
looking back in thanksgiving
looking forward without fear

Some much blessing
poured out on us
so much hope
in the rising of our King

We must be grateful
mindful of our gifts
heaped upon us
filling our cups

God’s promise is true
his love sublime
healing our lives
by His sacrifice
redeeming us all
in the body of Christ
