We have not dealt honorably

An indictment of our dealings
how we treat our neighbors
our friends, our enemies
our contacts in this life

We have not dealt honorably
with our enemies or our friends
we have fought against them
sometimes for no reason at all

We are complicit in the beating
in the killing of our Savior
each of us filled with sin
driving the nails into him

We all carry the stain
yet by his blood we are made clean
we are supposed to love as he loved
to care for our fellow man
