We want spiritual refreshment

We seek to be healed
we desire renewal
we want spiritual refreshment
yet we are afraid, timid
we don’t want the struggles
the truth, the confession
the dying to self
We want to walk with God
but we don’t want the journey
faithfully submitting
our lives at all cost
Wanting the joy
without the sorrow
wanting heaven
without the gate of the cross
