balsam filled the air
a smell of evergreens
of an enchanted forest
almost pungent, sweet
bows hung from pipes,
rafters
ornaments laid out just so
finished work on shelves
hanging all around the shop
stepping into Santa’s workshop
a bee hive of activity,
three workers
filling each wreath order
lovingly, one at a time
