suddenly feeling the call
drawn
to the wood
to
leave the office space
the
chair where I was writing
to
breathe wet air
going
outside in the mist
out
beyond the edge
stepping
from the grass
wet
leaves underfoot
a
soft, muted carpet
colors
fading, autumn,
browns
and pale yellows
but
revived by water
evergreens
and mosses
as
if behind a curtain
another
realm, dimension
in
the awakening
the
revealing to me
sharing
its secrets
deep
into autumn
the
clocks to fall back
damp
woods, clouds
color
saturated
intense,
urgent
almost
iridescent
giving
to my lens
to
my presence
wanting
me to see
light
bursting forth
from
leaves, moss, from rock,
drawn
out by the water
a
different color spectrum
revealing
the secrets
sharing
something special
beauty
in the common
